Looking for a tasty and healthy snack after you've exercised or participated in one of M-NCPPC's programs? Look no further, Smart Vending is here!
For the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC), Smart Vending is a campaign to provide healthier snack and beverage choices in vending machines on M-NCPPC properties including the Department of Parks and Recreation. Experts confirm that small steps to make healthier food and beverage options available in vending machines can help to reduce Type 2 diabetes, obesity, and recurring diseases. M-NCPPC cares about the health of the community and aims to create healthier communities through people, parks, and programs. Smart Vending is one of M-NCPPC's newest initiatives that will make eating healthier while on-the-go easier. Smart Vending options include snacks with lower sodium, foods under 200 calories, as well as beverages under 40 calories.
