Grab and Go Meals

Overview

M-NCPPC, Prince George’s County Department of Parks and Recreation, and Capital Area Food Bank partners to provide free lunch meals with the intention of meeting the need of youth and Teens (18 & under) to close the hunger gap and to assist adults with the economic gap of paying for lunch meals.

Patrons are able to drive up/walk up and freely take one bag lunch of a balanced meal including fruit, juice, sandwich, and milk. The staff at each location is required to practice safety protocols by wearing personal protective equipment, practicing 6-foot physical distancing, and frequent hand and surface disinfecting. Patrons are required to practice physical distancing and wear a mask while in line. Each site gives away an estimate of 50 meals per day.
